Bansko enjoys the longest ski season in Bulgaria - a soft climate in the town and snow coverage on the ski runs from December to May. The ski area which is 2000-2500 m above sea level offers over 65 km of excellent ski tracks equipped with high-standard ski facilities. If you are a beginner, Bansko offers the best ski schools in the region, with highly qualified ski and snowboard instructors who will make you feel like god on the ski slopes!
Two more ski areas in neighbouring Dobrinishte and Kulinoto which will more than triple the ski facilities will ensure Pirin Mountain Resort retains it's position as the leading ski destination in Eastern Europe.
Apres ski you can enjoy the fun in the Happy End bar at the foot of the gondola or in one of the bars and lounges back at Pirin Mountain Resort, before spending some time relaxing in the pools and facilities of the Pirin Mountain Resort spa. Soaking in the jacuzzi or enjoying the sauna, relaxation areas and other facilities in the thermal suite or sampling one of the large range of beauty and massage treatments are the perfect way to relax after a day on the slopes.
Other options include snow mobiling or ice skating at the ice rink before an evening of fun and great food in a Mehana accompanied by a taste of Bulgaria's wonderful wines. Some of Bansko's leading Mehana's include Molorite, Dedo Pene and Bariakovo.
